Privacy Policy
Last updated: 06/04/2026
We built the Timelog app ("Service") as a Freemium application. This Service is provided at no cost and is intended for use as is.
This page is to inform visitors regarding our policies with the collection, use and disclosure of Personal Information if anyone decided to use our Service.
If you choose to use our Service, then you agree to the collection and use of information in relation to this policy. The Personal Information that we collect is used for providing and improving the Service. We will not use or share your information with anyone except as described in this Privacy Policy.
The terms used in this Privacy Policy have the same meanings as in our Terms and Conditions, which is accessible at timelog.link unless otherwise defined in this Privacy Policy.
Information Collection and Use
The Service stores all your entries and data locally on your device.
The application does use third party services that may collect information used to identify you. This information is not collected without your consent.
Links to privacy policy of third party service providers used by the application:
These services are used to collect diagnostic and usage data to improve the Service and troubleshoot errors. They do not collect any personal data that directly identifies you. The services may use your device identification to measure the number of users.
Cloud Backup
Timelog offers optional cloud backup and restore features that let you save your data (activities, time logs, categories, tasks, goals, timer settings, and app preferences) to a cloud storage service. Cloud backup is entirely optional. If you do not sign in or enable cloud backup, none of the following applies to you.
Backed-up data only includes information already stored on your device. It does not include any data that could identify you beyond what is already on your device.
Google Drive Backup
Users can sign in with their Google account to back up and restore their Timelog data.
- Timelog accesses your Google account email and display name solely to show who is signed in within the app. This information is not stored on our servers or shared with third parties.
- Backups are stored in your own Google Drive, in a hidden app-specific folder that is not visible to you or other apps. Only Timelog can access this folder.
-
Timelog uses the Google Drive API
drive.appdatascope, which limits access exclusively to this hidden app folder. Timelog cannot read, modify, or access any other files in your Google Drive. - You can enable automatic backups (daily, weekly, or monthly). Backups are performed silently in the background.
- You can sign out at any time from within the app, which revokes Timelog's access to your Google account. You can also revoke access via your Google Account permissions.
- No backup data is transmitted to or stored on Timelog's servers. All data remains between your device and your personal Google Drive account.
